NVIDIA has released a new graphics card in the QuadroFX workstation lineup, the 4800, a cheaper alternative to the 5800.

NVIDIA has released a cheaper GPU for workstations, the QuadroFX 4800, a cheaper, more realistic version of the 5800.
Running the GT200 GPU and delivering 1.5GB, the 4800 offers 602MHz clock speed, 192 stream processors, 384-bit memory controller, 800MHz GDDR3 clock speed, and a PCI Express 2.0x16 port.
According to HotHardware, the 4800 is basically GeForce GTX 260 bulked for a workstation.
The QuadroFX will is priced at a $1999, a little over half the price of the monstrous 5800.
