MODTHEBOX would like to thank Lucy from Cooler Master for providing the Cooler Master Hyper 6+ Heatsink for review.By:Jetion Date:2005-7-15 10:50:57 |
Introduction:
As processors today continue to become faster, and are able to perform more tasks, they also generate more heat. Although water cooling continues to grow in popularity, air cooling is still the norm. Aftermarket engineers are constantly on a quest to bring effective cooling, while maintaining a certain level of quietness to their cooling products. Developing a product that provides excellent cooling, but generates a higher level of noise, is a simple task to accomplish, it takes a better designed product to cool exceptionally well and be truly quiet. Today in the MTB Labs, we will be taking a closer look at Cooler Master's latest offering aptly named the Hyper 6+.
Specifications:
The Hyper 6+ is the newest product in a long list of CPU coolers from Cooler Master, and it is based on the original Hyper 6 design with a few upgrades. The Hyper 6+ uses a 100mm 50,000 hour MTB blue LED fan, instead of the 80mm 30,000 hour MTB non LED fan that is used on the Hyper 6; furthermore the Hyper 6+ is 155g lighter than the Hyper 6. Here are some of the specifications taken directly from the Cooler Master website:
